Do You Need CE Credit? Tobacco Treatment Training Available

On April 23, 2024 from 10:00am-11:00am, there will be a “Tobacco Treatment in Primary Care and Behavioral Health Settings,” training facilitated by Dr. Maya Vijayaraghavan, Director of the UCSF Smoking Cessation Leadership Center. This training will provide an overview of the epidemiology of tobacco use in the United States, cover information on tobacco treatment approaches for the general population and those with behavioral health conditions, and review workflows and policy approaches to addressing tobacco use.

This training is suited for administrative and/or clinical staff of LifeLong Medical Care through Alameda County Public Health Department-contracted provider organizations and Alameda County Behavioral Health (ACBH)-contracted substance use treatment and mental health programs.

This course meets the qualifications for 1.0 hour of continuing education credit for LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPCC’s, LEP’s, and SUD Counseling Staff as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP). CE credits will be provided; please bring your license/credential information. Course Completion certificates will be awarded by email for those that submit a post-test/ evaluation form and are provided within one week of receipt of the form.
