Trauma Informed Care (TIC) – New Hire Training

Is a 3-hour training that provides to minimize conflicts and to better understand how trauma impacts interactions in our clinics. Required for all new hires. The training will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month (following New Hire Orientation on the 2nd Monday), 1-4 pm at LifeLong West Berkeley Health Center auditorium.

Topics include:

• Defining trauma and how trauma impacts our patients.
• Handling stressful situations in clinic in a trauma-informed way.
• Recognizing and Reducing bias in our interactions with staff and patients.
