This Father’s Day we celebrate the incredible fathers and father figures who nurture, inspire, and guide us. LifeLong partners with Alameda County Fathers Corps program in supporting fathers and the health of their families.
LifeLong health centers are embracing the principles of Alameda County Fathers Corps, formed to support fathers to be meaningfully engaged with their children and to advocate for father-friendly services. Communications in waiting rooms and exam rooms include more photos of men, and staff have worked to ensure programming is more inclusive of and focused on fathers and father-like figures.
Men now have access to support groups and parenting “dadscussions,” and male patient volunteers are reaching out to other men who are LifeLong patients about scheduling health screenings.
Fathers, your health matters—not just today, but every day. You are the superheroes in the lives of so many, and your well-being is crucial for you to continue being the amazing role models you are.
