From March 15-19, we celebrate the people who take care of the caregivers by recognizing Healthcare Human Resource Professionals Week.
Recognizing Healthcare HR (Human Resources) professionals started in 2012. The week calls attention to the hard work and dedication of HR professionals, whose jobs often go above and beyond the usual human resources duties. This week we honor all the healthcare human resources professionals who work in hospitals, health systems, clinics, long-term care and hospice facilities, and any other healthcare organization. Today’s healthcare landscape is more complex than ever in terms of supplying care.
Since her arrival in 2022, Director of Human Resources RoseMarie Beatty has been laser focused on compliance, going back to basics and best practices as we work to improve the department to make it a better partner for the organization and its employees.
Human Resources has been working on recruitment efforts and expanding its outreach to education programs for medical school residencies, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and registered nurses. Recruitment will be expanding to attendance and outreach to university career events as well.
Learning and Development at LifeLong has grown by leaps and bounds collaborating with many departments and individuals across the organization to help individuals and new hires meet their training needs, as well as improving their use of technology. The Employee Appreciation Programs for anniversary bonuses and gifts with the Employee Appreciation Committee was launched in 2022. There have been 12 new hires to the HR team in the last year.
All this means that every day brings unique challenges and requires a willingness to explore creative solutions to ensure that those who are providing patient care are getting all the support and services they need to do their jobs well.
A BIG thank you to the Human Resources Department.
