Prenatal Care

LifeLong Medical Care provides prenatal care as part of a comprehensive program for a healthy mother and child. Our midwives, nurse practitioners, and physicians work with health educators, nurses, social workers and a network of professionals to care for you. We offer office visits, peer education, support groups, community presentations, one-to-one outreach, prenatal yoga, and many other activities. Babies are born at either Alta Bates Medical Center or Highland Hospital with care providers from those locations.

The key to having a healthy baby is taking good care of your own health. Prenatal care is specialized medical and emotional care. It includes regular checkups and prenatal testing. It's best to begin as soon as you know you are pregnant.
