At LifeLong Medical Care, our mission is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their income, background, or circumstances, has access to lifesaving healthcare.
Next month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection. We are proud of the work we’re doing to help women in our community get the screenings they need.
In partnership with Sutter Health, we’ve been able to bring mammography-equipped vans directly to underserved neighborhoods, breaking down the barriers that too often prevent women from accessing breast cancer screenings.
Shout-out to our Mammo-van events, such as the one we hosted in Pinole on September 18. That event saw an 82% attendance rate, showing the impact these efforts are having on our community. More events are scheduled in October and November.
Breast cancer screenings save lives. As a reminder to LifeLong staff, if you’re due for a mammogram, please make your appointment. For more breast cancer screening guidelines click here.
