We’re excited to share that the Climate Health Promoters (CHP) Program is now accepting applications through March 21, and we need your help reaching community members and patients who could benefit from this opportunity.

The program is based primarily in Richmond, one of the communities with the greatest need. Led by Urban Tilth and LifeLong Medical Care through the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) grant, CHP equips participants with the knowledge and skills to lead projects focused on climate health, nutritious food access, and grassroots advocacy. Graduates become climate health ambassadors, sharing what they learn and helping create a healthier future by addressing the powerful connection between environmental conditions and public health.

Each year, CHP welcomes two cohorts, one in the spring and one in the fall. Each cohort includes 30 community members who participate in a 12‑week learning experience supported by LifeLong staff, providers, residents, CHP alumni, and community partners who offer mentorship and guidance.

Criteria: Eligible applicants are residents, students, or individuals who work in the Richmond project area, including Coronado, Santa Fe, and the Iron Triangle. Participants must be between 16 and 26 years old, have an interest in climate justice, and be willing to complete 20 hours of in‑person training as well as up to 16 hours of work on a community project. Training begins March 18, 2026 (English only), and a stipend is available upon completion of both the training and the service activity.

Please share widely with patients, community members, and local partners. Apply Now.
